Day 1: Arrival in Kochi
Your driver will greet you upon arrival at Kochi Airport and accompany you to your private car. Then we will take you to your hotel. After your check-in, your driver will give you additional information about your itinerary, and answer any questions you may have. Then, depending on your arrival time, your driver will start to show you the city of Kochi. Your driver will help you discover the peninsula of Fort Kochi where you can attend the Kathakali, dance theater performance or kalarippayat, a martial and therapeutic art, related to Ayurvedic medicine. Overnight in Kochi.
Day 2: Fort Kochi to Wayanad
This morning, your driver will drive you to Wayanad: a green paradise nestled among the mountains of the Western Ghats, full of plantations and forests. The natural beauty of Wayanad and its natural resources offer many possibilities for an adventure holiday. You can choose from several activities that are best suited to your preferences: trekking to Chembra Peak (2100 mt.), Hiking to discover the tea plantations, bird watching, the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary, Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary and much more. Day 3: Wayanad sightseeing
Today (according to your choice), you will discover the fauna and flora of Wayanad: jeep safari in Muthanga (15 km) or jeep safari in Tholpetty (20 km). Another possibility will be trekking for 4-5 hours in the local wildlife sanctuaries or hiking to discover the Wayanad countryside, villagers, tribal dwellings, farms, spice plantations etc ... You can decide the day before with your driver, your preferred option. Overnight in Wayanad.
Day 4: Wayanad to Fort Kochi (3.5 h driving)
This morning, after check-out of your hotel, your driver will drive you to Kochi. It will make you discover the peninsula of Fort Kochi where you will be able to attend Kathakali, (a dance theater performance) or kalarippayat (a martial and therapeutic art, related to Ayurvedic medicine). Your driver will be glad to help you visit other attractions of the city according to your preferences: such as St.Francis Church, the synagogue, the Basilica of Santa Cruz, the Palace Mattancheri etc ... Night in Kochi.
Day 5:Fort Kochi to Munnar (5 h driving)
Today your Indian driver will drive you to Munnar, which will take you through exceptional landscapes. Along the way, you will make a stop at the Cheeyappara waterfalls and a spice plantation. Later, you will arrive at Munnar, nestled in the mountains of Kerala. The city is best known for its tea plantations. After lunch, your Indian driver will be at your disposal to make you discover the Munnar Tea Museum, which allows visitors to discover the stages of tea processing and to learn about the production of different types of black tea. from Kerala. Day 6: Munnar sightseeing
Today you will have a relaxing day in the relaxing atmosphere of Munnar. Your driver will be happy to help you discover the city according to your preferences. Guests can explore the tea plantations, Lockhart Tea Factory, Eravikulam National Park, Kundale Lake or Echo Point. Your driver will be happy to take you to Top Station, the highest point (1700m) of Munnar, located about 32 km from the city, between Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Here you can admire the panoramic view of the Western Ghats and Theni District Valley of Tamil Nadu. The destination is famous for the flowers of Neelakurinji (Strobilanthus), which bloom once every twelve years. Overnight in Munnar.
Day 7: Munnar to Thekkady (3.5 h driving)
Today your Indian driver will drive you by private car to Thekkady which houses the famous Periyar National Park, with the lake of the same name. Once on site (or early in the morning the next day), we will organize a walk in the park to discover the local fauna and flora, especially elephants that are very numerous (the duration of the hike is 2-3 hours, accompanied by a local guide). According to your preference, the visit can be organized also aboard a jeep. Another option to visit by a boat ride. Then you can visit a spice plantation, a tribal village or attend a performance of Kathakali. Overnight at Thekkady.
Day 8: Thekkady sightseeing
After breakfast at your hotel, you will discover the Periyar National Park. The park can be explored on foot (the duration of the hike is 2-3 hours, accompanied by a local guide), by boat on the lake, elephant back or aboard a jeep. Free time for relaxation in the afternoon or, depending on your preferences: visit the spice plantations, a tribal village or participation in a performance of Kathakali. In the evening, you can enjoy the world famous Indian Ayurvedic massage. Overnight at Thekkady.
Day 9: Thekkady to Kumarakom (4 h driving)
This morning, your Indian driver will drive you to Kumarakom, a small village on Lake Vembanad. You can discover beautiful landscapes of mangroves, rice fields and coconut trees. Kumarakom is also home to a natural migratory bird sanctuary which is one of the main attractions of this village. Please note that it is best to visit the bird sanctuary early in the morning. Overnight in Kumarakom.
Day 10: Kumarakom to Alleppey (1 h driving)
This morning, embark on a traditional houseboat to start your cruise to Alleppey on the famous backwaters of Kerala (with overnight stay and meals on board). The houseboat is a boat that has been designed or modified to be used primarily as a floating house. The Kerala houseboats are used mainly for trips to discover the Alleppey backwaters. They are a reworked model of Kettuvallams (Kettu means "tied with ropes", and vallam means "boat"), which formerly were used to transport rice and spices. Houseboats can be private or shared. Nevertheless, every room on a houseboat is individual with its private bathrooms. Today you will have a day of relaxation. While crossing canals, lagoons and lakes, let yourself be carried away by this fascinating and magical atmosphere. At the end of the day, you can admire the sunset. Night in the houseboat. Disembarkation at Alleppey, the morning of the following day, after breakfast.
Day 11: Alleppey to Varkala
In the morning, after the landing of your houseboat at 09:00 (or after check-out of your hotel), your driver will take you to Varkala to enjoy the seaside and the beach. Varkala is close to Trivandrum (the state capital of Kerala). Verkala Beach is one of the most popular seaside resorts. His name comes from the word ""sin"" because the local belief is that by bathing, all sins are forgiven. The cliffs lying on the side of the beach, also make a magnificent panorama. Overnight in Varkala.
Day 12: Varkala sightseeing
Today, you will have a relaxing day in Varkala, at the seaside with fine sand while tasting seafood. Several activities to choose on the spot according to your preferences: ayurvedic massage, yoga class, performance of Kathakali and much more. If you wish, you can also visit the famous Janardana Swami temple. Overnight in Varkala.
Day 13: Varkala to Fort Kochi
This morning, after check-out of your hotel, your driver will drive you to Kochi.
